It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Craig Russell.

As many of you know, Craig has fought hard the past three years with his health. He had many more serious health issues arise recently, but in true Craig fashion, he didn’t complain. He stayed positive day in and day out. He showed up for work everyday, doing what he loved and was passionate about, radio. And he did this no matter how sick he felt. A true fighter. During all of this, Craig remained a loyal father to our children, and a loyal friend. He never felt sorry for himself, never wanted anyone fussing over him. He had such a strong will to live, and he demonstrated that daily.

Out of respect for Craig and I’s children, I won’t go into too many details on his passing, but we can take comfort in the fact that Craig is at peace now, no longer sick or suffering. He put up such an amazing fight, and we can all be proud of his strength and determination during the hardest of times.

Unfortunately his unexpected passing has left a huge financial burden for our children to bear. They are not only faced with the sudden need to cover daily costs such as housing, utilities, etc, but they are also facing the financial cost of making sure their father gets the proper funeral and cremation that he deserves. Craig did not have life insurance, nor are his parents alive, and he has no siblings, so the cost is 100% falling on his children.

My goal in raising funds is to help alleviate the financial burden that Jaylynn and Hunter are now facing. I am hoping that they can focus on grieving their father, without worrying how they are going to cover the cost at the funeral home, or how they are going to cover basic needs in the immediate aftermath of his passing.

Any money donated is going directly to Craig’s funeral expenses, and any immediate needs Jaylynn and Hunter have in the home such as electric, water, rent, etc.

I am Craig’s ex wife, we share Jaylynn and Hunter together, and am available anytime if anyone has any questions.
