We lost our brother Craig on Memorial Day.
Hi friends, this is Mike — Craig’s oldest brother. I never thought I’d be writing something like this, but on Memorial Day 2025, we lost Craig unexpectedly. I received a call Tuesday morning from a detective in Jacksonville, Florida, informing me that Craig was found unresponsive in his hotel room. We’re still waiting on the official cause of death, but it appears to be an accidental overdose.
Craig was 59 — the same age our brother Mark was when we lost him a few years ago. It’s surreal and heartbreaking to lose both of them far too soon.
Those who knew Craig know he had his addiction struggles and a difficult family life, but he also had a good heart, a loyal spirit, and people who loved him. His boss Shane and many of his coworkers were a lifeline in recent years, and for that, our family is forever grateful.
We’re now trying to bring Craig's remains back to AZ to give him a proper goodbye. The cost of transporting him and handling funeral arrangements is more than we can manage alone. If you’re able to contribute, even a small amount, it would mean the world to our family. All monies left will be given to people who struggle with addictions and need a second chance in life. Craig would have a happy heart knowing his friends helped others like him.
Any donations will go directly toward transportation and funeral costs.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing. Thank you all for the love and support during this difficult time.
Craig, you’re finally at peace. No more pain. We’ll see you again someday.
⸻** UPDATE: Still waiting thru the Florida red tape and investigation to release.
