On March 23 2026 Correna passed away surrounded by her family. Correna was a beautiful soul who left a lasting mark in every life she touched. She left behind a beautiful family who is now asking for help to give their mother a burial that she deserves.

Correna was diagnosed with B-All cell leukemia and from the moment she was diagnosed she fought with all her strength to beat cancer and live for her children and grandbabies. Unfortunately her battle didn’t end the way she imagined. Through every chemo appointment and every hospital stay Correna stayed positive, kept her faith and reminded everyone constantly of how much she loved them. Correna continuously smiled and cracked jokes to keep the family happy because as she would say “her life was beautiful” and that it was. She didn’t want her memory to be sad but memories of every happy moment she had with those she loved.

During Correna’s final days she was surrounded with love and she was aware of how loved she was. She leaves behind 7 children, 17 grandbabies, her soul tied dog, 13 siblings and countless people who loved her. We find peace knowing she will be spending her days with her daughter Leslie, her mother, her father and her dogs. During this grieving process her family is asking for help with the burial funds so she can rest easy and be the free bird she always wanted.
