I write these words about my beloved brother and best friend with deep heartache. Words cannot express what a great friend, brother, son, and veteran Corey Mcclintic was.

Corey was one of the most giving people I know. During his time in the Marines, he smiled and brought joy to his squad, platoon, and company. Corey came up with the most interesting conversations, and during hard times on deployment, Corey brought calmness and happiness. He was so proud to be a Marine; even after his time in the Marines, he would wear his dog tags under his shirt to symbolize love for his brothers.

Post Marine Corps, Corey continued giving back; he was always a short call away no matter the time. If you were sick, he brought you soup; if you needed a place to stay, he offered his place; if you called him at midnight, he would drop everything to help. He was always there for anyone seeking help.

Corey was my best friend and the best Marine I know. In his honor, I ask family and friends to come together to help us raise funds to donate in his name to The Warriors Heart Foundation.

The Warriors Heart Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, supports programs that address the unmet needs of suffering servicemen and women and give individuals and communities the tools to become self-sufficient. We want to build warriors that will be sustainable after our support ends and that build upon and strengthen relationships within communities.
