Honor Cordell: Aid for His Family
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share the sudden passing of Cordell Weber, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend who left us far too soon at just 29 years old. Cordell passed away on Wednesday, following a medical emergency while returning from a family trip over Memorial Day weekend.
About Cordell
Cordell was an assistant golf professional who touched the lives of everyone he met with his kindness, dedication, and infectious spirit. He was an incredible father to his nine-month-old son Miles and a devoted husband to his wife Gretchen. Those who knew Cordell will remember him as someone who had the remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life, always leading by example with his generous heart and positive outlook.
What Happened
While returning from a family visit to Idaho, Cordell began experiencing severe symptoms that led to a medical emergency. Despite the heroic efforts of a dear family friend and his wife, Gretchen, who performed CPR on the roadside, and the medical teams who fought to save him, Cordell suffered irreversible brain damage from a rare brain cyst that caused severe swelling and lack of oxygen to his brain. In keeping with his generous nature, Cordell's final act was as an organ donor, potentially saving multiple lives.
Supporting Gretchen and Miles
Cordell leaves behind his beloved wife Gretchen and their precious nine-month-old son Miles, who now face an unimaginable future without their husband and father. The family is dealing not only with profound grief but also with unexpected medical expenses, funeral costs, and the financial challenges of supporting a young family during this devastating time.
How You Can Help
Your donation will help provide immediate financial support for Gretchen and Miles during this incredibly difficult period. Funds will assist with medical expenses, funeral costs, and ongoing support for Miles as he grows up without his father. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for this young family as they navigate life without Cordell.
Cordell was truly one of the good ones - a man who made everyone around him better simply by being himself. While we cannot replace the husband and father that Gretchen and Miles have lost, we can come together as a community to ensure they have the support they need during this heartbreaking time.
Thank you for your love, support, and generosity in honoring Cordell's memory and caring for his family.
