In Loving Memory of Nerieda “Cookie” Del Rio

With heavy and grieving hearts, the Delgado family shares the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved Nerieda “Cookie” Del Rio, who left this world far too soon at just 53 years old. Cookie was a light in every room, a warm laugh in every gathering, and a source of love, strength, and comfort for everyone blessed enough to know her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her three children — Keely Medford, Michael Medford, and Issac Amarat — and through her precious grandchildren, Maison and Hunter, who brought her endless joy and who she cherished deeply. She is also survived by her devoted husband, Issac Del Rio, who stood faithfully by her side through every joy and every trial.

Cookie’s passing has deeply touched her entire family: her three sisters, Nancy, Evelyn, and Maribel, her brother Angel, her loving father Angel Delgado, her mother Nerieda Pacheco, and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones who adored her more than words can express.

Through this heartbreak, the Delgado family leans on God’s strength and promise, trusting that Cookie is now resting in the Lord’s presence—free of pain, wrapped in perfect peace, and surrounded by eternal love. Her faith, her kindness, and her unwavering heart will continue to guide us through the days ahead.

Losing her has left a space that can never be filled, and our family is navigating an unimaginable pain.
