Hi there, me and a couple of other friends are starting this fundraiser for our buddy Cody Smith. Cody was an awesome dude who loved cars, especially his mustangs, his friends, and his cats haha. Unfortunately, he was on his way to work at Chukchansi Casino and slid out on the rainy roads of Highway 41 in Coarsegold. We don't believe he was speeding because he was always scared of the rain; simply just bad timing and an accident occurred. As much as I hate asking for money, it would be so greatly appreciated if you guys could just donate anything you can, doesn't matter if it's cents. We're all a bunch of broke college kids trying to survive in this world.

Cody never had any blood family on his side, and if he did, they aren't here now. We were more than just his friends; we were his family.

His soon-to-be wife, Syler Smith, was devastated with the news this morning. He passed away in the ride to the hospital at around 7 in the morning.

Cody was so kind and caring, and just an overall good dude. We always dreamed about moving to Japan and learning how to drift cars together, and now that can't happen.
