On December 23, 2025, we suffered an unimaginable loss with the passing of Javen “Coach Roc” Jones-DiCocco, a devoted father, mentor, and servant leader whose life was defined by love, selflessness, and faith. Javen’s heart poured into everyone he encountered, both on and off the field. He was one of the most genuine souls you could ever have the privilege of knowing, always putting others before himself and spreading positivity wherever he went. Whether during the legendary #RudeNation days at Dwyer or when he returned to his alma mater to coach, Javen’s impact was felt by countless young people, especially his younger brothers, his little sister, and the many athletes he mentored. Above all, Javen was a loving father to Alicia (4) and Javen Jr. (2), who were the light of his life.

This GoFundMe is the only fundraiser officially approved by Javen’s family and has been created with three meaningful purposes, rooted in love, responsibility, and legacy. First, to provide immediate support for Javen’s children, ensuring their stability, care, and comfort during this incredibly difficult time. Second, to establish a trust that will protect and support Alicia and Javen Jr.’s future needs, including education, wellness, and the life opportunities their father dreamed of for them. Third, to create the Javen “Coach Roc” Jones-DiCocco Foundation, dedicated to supporting parents who have lost a child and the siblings left behind so that Javen’s legacy of compassion, service, and love continues to impact families navigating unimaginable grief.

The best way to honor Coach Roc is to live as he lived: love everyone around you, put others before yourself, encourage and uplift, and be present. Every donation, share, and prayer helps carry Javen’s legacy forward through his children and through every life this foundation will touch.
