As many know, the Martin family and the community of North Powder lost Clay Martin in an accident on Monday, April 20th. At 22 years old, Clay was a proud rancher. A career he was destined for from a young age. After graduating, Clay stayed connected with the students at Powder Valley by coaching middle school sports, refereeing, and helping his father, Riley, coach the high school football team. Clay leaves behind his young family, Belle and Clancy, as well as his parents, Lacey and Riley, brothers Tucker and Dom, sister Maylee, grandparents Aaron Kasper, Cheryl Martin, and Curtis Martin, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Our community is grieving with the family and wants to help ease the financial burden that comes with such a tragedy and give the family some room to breathe as they maneuver through this unfathomable loss. All funds will go directly to the family to help cover costs and support Belle and Clancy. If you feel inclined, you may contribute here or through the Baker City or LaGrande branches of Old West Federal Credit Union in memory of Clay Martin. Please feel free to share and continue praying for and supporting the family.
