Honoring Cindy: Support Her Burial and Memorial

Honoring Cindy

This past New Year’s Eve, 2024, my family and I had to say goodbye to our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Cynthia Ann Sauceda, or Cindy. We had to welcome in the New Year without her, and realize that she would no longer be at our family functions any longer. My name is Rebecca Treviño, and I am proud to say that I am Cindy’s younger cousin. I am humbly asking for your support to help my family in raising funds to honor Cindy with a deserving burial and celebration of life ceremony.

Over the past years, Cindy had experienced many health struggles. She had been through eye surgeries to help her regain some of her sight, was in and out of the hospital, and had even been revived once. She went through the exhausting challenges of dialysis for quite a while. Finally, in July, we were filled with hope and gratitude when she overcame cancer.

Through all of that, she continued to love, care for, and think of the well being of others. She dedicated herself to the care of her mother, my aunt, who was away in the hospital and rehab center for about two months with her own health issues. When my aunt was able to come home, she spent her last month with Cindy, while Cindy took care of her before her passing.

I am not the type of person who usually asks for help, but this is for Cindy. Anyone who knew her would agree that she was warm, kind-hearted, genuine, funny, optimistic, caring, nurturing, helpful, thoughtful, understanding, and beautiful. She was selfless and always put others before herself. She was a calm and peaceful soul, who got along with everyone. She was a good listener, and helped me to see the positive in everything, made me appreciate the small things in life, put situations in perspective, and made me laugh a lot. She was my cool, wise, sincere big cousin. She had a good head on her shoulders and gave great advice. She was part of the older cousins, and even though she didn’t have to, she was constantly looking out for and taking care of us younger cousins like a mother figure. She was the best of us, I feel.

I am asking for your help on behalf of Cindy’s immediate family. They are in need of finances to honor Cindy’s memory through her burial and celebration of life. They are bombarded with medical bills for more than one family member currently facing health issues. They are not only facing the grief of her loss, but the weight of the financial lack of funds to honor Cindy. Although we will miss Cindy dearly, we will keep her spirit alive by reminding others of Cindy’s beauty, love, and light that she brought to this world. It lives in all who knew her, and I know that we will honor her by sharing those gifts with others in her memory.

So, again, I ask for your help to ease the financial burden, and honor Cindy by supporting her family. I know that she wouldn’t want her family to worry about her in anyway, or be in any financial hardship. Please help with any funds that you can. We welcome any amount that you can spare. She had a gracious spirit. I know that she would have greatly appreciated your generosity, as us as well. She was that shoulder you could cry on, and that helping hand. Please assist us in providing for her now.

We also ask for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Thank you for your compassion, time, and support. May God bless you and your loved ones.
