On Friday, January 2, 2026, around 2:00 PM, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Our grandmother, Cindy Jean Brill, was murdered by her son after a violent incident at her nursing home. This loss was sudden and devastating, and our family was completely unprepared for something like this to happen.

Cindy did not have life insurance or supplemental policies in place to help cover funeral expenses. We want nothing more than to honor her life and grant her final wishes, but the cost of an open-casket service, visitation, casket, and burial in Elizabethtown has been estimated between $9,000 and $13,500. Unfortunately, this is not something our family is financially able to manage on our own.
