In Loving Memory of Christina
Christina passed away peacefully after a courageous year-long battle with Burkitt’s lymphoma. Even through the hardest moments, she never lost her kindness or her cheery smile — always asking how others were doing and bringing light into every room.
After months of intense treatment earlier this year, Christina was declared cancer-free in July and proudly rang the bell. Family and friends were able to come together to celebrate her remission, her 38th birthday, and her mom’s 60th birthday — a moment filled with hope, joy, and so much love. Christina said she had never felt better.
Sadly, just a few weeks later, the cancer returned. Christina continued to fight with incredible strength, but despite every effort, the lymphoma could not be kept away. She was brought home on hospice just before Christmas and passed away peacefully, surrounded by love.
To know Christina was to love her. Throughout everything she endured, she remained positive, grateful, and deeply kind. Even on her hardest days, she was asking how everyone else was doing and greeting people with her signature smile. She fought with grace and strength until the very end.
This fundraiser is to help cover Christina’s funeral and burial expenses, totaling approximately $15,000, so she can be laid to rest with the dignity and care she deserves. It also honors her wish to be buried next to her brother, something that meant a great deal to her and her family.
With Christina unable to work during her illness and her mom missing significant time at work while caring for her, this loss also brings a heavy financial burden during an already heartbreaking time. Any donation or share will help ease that burden and allow the family to focus on honoring Christina and healing.
Throughout her illness, Christina’s mom was by her side and loved her deeply. Her aunt Debbie and cousin Liz selflessly carried much of the day-to-day care — driving Christina to appointments, staying with her in the hospital, coordinating care, and bringing her home on hospice — while also making sure her mom was supported. They did it all quietly, out of pure love.
Thank you for helping honor Christina and the beautiful, joyful light she brought into so many lives.
