It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, and friend, Christopher Montanez.

Chris was more than just a man—he was a force of joy, laughter, and love. He was a hard worker who always put his family first. He had a heart of gold, a quick wit that could lift any spirit, and a way of making everyone around him feel like family. If you knew him, you loved him.

One of Chris’s greatest passions in life was food—not just eating it, but sharing it. Hosting was his favorite pastime. There was nothing that brought him more joy than gathering people together for a BBQ, serving up good meals, and enjoying an ice-cold beer with great company. He created memories through meals, laughter, and love.

He leaves behind his devoted wife Marie, his loving daughters Crystal, Mel, and Jasmin, and his sons-in-law Bubba and Jose. Our hearts are broken, but we are committed to giving Chris the kind of farewell he would have wanted—a celebration filled with everything he loved: family, food, and togetherness.
