Honoring Chris Dailey's Giving Spirit
Donation protected
My name is Kim Andersen, and my family is very close friends of the Dailey family; they are family to us.
On July 4th, our hearts were shattered by the tragic and sudden loss of Chris Dailey, an extraordinary young man whose life was cut far too short at just 18 years old. Chris was a passenger in a car that was struck by a wrong-way driver on the highway in Gloucester, MA, a heartbreaking accident that has left his family, friends, and community in deep mourning.
Chris had an infectious smile that lit up every room and a personality that brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. He was the "life of the party", the dependable friend, the loving son and brother, and the kind of young man you never forget. He was deeply loved by his parents, Rich and Nicole, his big sister, Rachel, and extended friends and family, and cherished by a large group of incredible friends, many of whom played alongside him on the ice and fields throughout his life.
Chris was more than just a great athlete and student; he was a generous soul who never hesitated to lend a hand. Whether he was mowing his grandmother’s lawn, mentoring younger athletes, helping a friend in need, or volunteering his time, Chris gave freely and wholeheartedly. He was excited to begin his college journey at Coastal Carolina this fall, and he had so much to look forward to.
In his final act of generosity, Chris became an organ donor, saving five lives and giving five families a future they might not have had. That selfless gift is a reflection of the kind of person he was: caring, courageous, and full of heart.
To carry on Chris’s incredible spirit of giving, the Dailey family has established the Chris Dailey Memorial Fund, ensuring that Chris’s legacy continues to shine through others for years to come.
We are reaching out to all who knew and loved Chris, or who have simply been moved by his story, to help us honor his memory and support this meaningful cause. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us continue Chris’s legacy of love, kindness, and generosity. All proceeds will go directly toward supporting the youth of Cape Ann.
Thank you for helping us remember and celebrate Chris. He may be gone, but his light will never dim. #18forever
