In Loving Memory of Cheryl Ann Tharp
On December 18, 2025, we unexpectedly lost our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and the heart of our family, Cheryl Ann Tharp (September 30, 1955 – December 18, 2025).
Cheryl was the matriarch of our family. She took care of everyone. She was the one who held things together, stepped in when someone needed help, and quietly made sure no one was ever left without support. She helped mold us into the people we are today, and her presence shaped our family in more ways than we can put into words.
She had a deep love for life and nature. Cheryl loved flowers and had a true green thumb—planting flowers at her own home and at the homes of family members just because it made her happy. She loved being outside, barefoot in her shorts, fully embracing nature. She adored turquoise jewelry, the color navy blue, cinnamon rolls, and always had a Diet Coke nearby.
Cheryl was witty, sarcastic, and incredibly knowledgeable when it came to animals—so much so that if you didn’t know better, you’d think she was a licensed veterinarian. She spent her life caring for animals of all kinds, including dogs, horses, and cats, and her love for them was unwavering.
Her passing was unexpected, and our family is now facing the many costs that come with losing her, including cremation and memorial expenses, as well as the responsibility of maintaining her home and mortgage. Cheryl also leaves behind animals she loved dearly, and funds raised will help ensure her dogs, horses, and cats continue to receive proper care, food, and veterinary support while we navigate the difficult decisions ahead.
Any contribution, no matter the size, helps ease the financial burden during this painful time and allows us to honor Cheryl in a way that reflects how she lived—caring for others, loving fiercely, and giving without hesitation.
If you’re unable to donate, we deeply appreciate you sharing this fundraiser or keeping our family in your thoughts.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and support.
With gratitude,
