Cheryl Simmer, age 61, passed away peacefully at Boone County Hospital surrounded by friends and family. Cheryl was known for making everyone around her feel welcomed and loved. She was always there to lend an ear and cherished every moment spent visiting with friends and family. Her warmth and kindness touched many lives, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Cheryl faced a long battle with end stage COPD. When she developed pneumonia and became septic, her body could no longer fight. Despite her strength and the support of those who loved her, she passed away after a courageous struggle. Her family and friends are now coming together to honor her memory and give her the farewell she deserves.
