Hello, my name is Jennifer Martin and I am Cheryl Garcia's daughter. It is with a heavy heart that I have to share that my mother passed away yesterday on January 20th, 2026. She had a triple bypass procedure done about 3 months ago. Everything seemed to be going well with her healing journey, until yesterday. She kept having pains and saying she had heartburn, so she ended up going to the hospital. She told the doctor that she didn't feel right and within minutes her heart stopped. The doctor said that it was not due to her triple bypass surgery. He said that her aorta artery basically burst wide open from the top to the bottom, causing her to bleed out heavily. This happened all in the matter of 10 minutes. They tried to give her more blood and revive her for over an hour, but her heart would not retain the blood and start again. We are all so very devastated by this sudden loss.

We are asking for donations to help us cover her funeral and cremation expenses. Any amount is greatly appreciated. She leaves behind her husband, Fernando Garcia; her brother, Raymond Martin; her daughter, Jennifer Martin; as well as her grandchildren, Nikolai, Isaiah, Arianah, and great-grandson, Ilya.
