With heavy hearts, we are asking for support for the family of Chatanna “Charlie” Patterson, whose life was tragically taken far too soon during what was supposed to be a holiday weekend spent with loved ones.
Charlie was struck and killed while walking back to her vehicle after leaving a gas station. The vehicle involved was reportedly fleeing from GSP, turning an ordinary moment into an unimaginable tragedy. Her sudden passing has left her family devastated and grieving a loss that words cannot fully express.
Charlie was so much more than this tragedy. She was the heart and glue of the Patterson family — the person everyone could depend on for love, guidance, encouragement, and prayer. She carried a strong faith in God and poured love into everyone around her. She was passionate about her students and dedicated herself to making a difference in their lives each and every day. Her kindness, wisdom, and nurturing spirit touched countless people.
She leaves behind 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and a large family and community who will deeply miss her presence, laughter, strength, and unconditional love.
During this painful and unexpected time, we are raising funds to help cover burial and funeral expenses and to ease some of the financial burden placed on the family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
Any donation, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please continue to keep the Patterson family in your prayers and share this fundraiser with others.
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. Charlie’s memory will live on through every life she touched.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4
