On October 14th, 2025, our beloved Charmaine “Cha Cha” Cruz was taken from us far too soon after suffering a sudden medical emergency just days prior. The events unfolded so quickly that family and friends are still grappling with disbelief and heartbreak.

Cha was the kind of person you could feel before you even saw her—her radiant energy, laughter, and presence filled every room she entered. She lived life boldly and joyfully—whether traveling, fishing, or simply making others smile, she embodied courage and curiosity in everything she did.

Her community was vast and full of love, a beautiful “chosen family” of friends and relatives whose lives she touched deeply. Cha made everyone feel like family, and now it’s our turn to honor her the way she lived: with love, laughter, and togetherness.

Because her passing was so sudden and unplanned, we’ve started this GoFundMe to help cover viewing and celebration of life expenses, which we plan to hold close to her birthday on October 26th. Any remaining funds will be given to her siblings, Maria Cristina and Clarence, who reside in the Philippines.
