Asking for help is never easy, but knowing that my stepdad was the kind of man who would help anyone helps me. My stepdad, Charles (Chuck) Brink Sr., passed away very suddenly on Jan 6th, 2026. His health in the last few years had been failing, but he never stopped trying to be the kind and helpful man he was. Despite having his leg amputated, he still had hope of returning to the workforce, and he was pushing forward to regain his ability to walk.

My mom and Chuck were not in a financially stable position when he passed. We are working with a local funeral home, and they have already discounted the cost, but we just need the remaining balance of $2600 to have him cremated and $100 for the obituary in the newspaper. We just want to do right by the man who stepped up when he didn’t have to, who was a grandfather to our kids. We are forever grateful.
