Good evening family. It is with great sadness that I am informing you that our Brother & Friend, Charles Bradford, passed away peacefully today at the VA Medical Center's Hospice Care Unit. The time of his passing was this morning (12/15/2025) at 6:45am. In a ceremony called "The Final Journey", the staff at the Hospice center draped an American Flag over his body and solemnly escorted him through the hall, saluted him, read a poem, and placed him in the funeral home's transport. The moment was emotional, honorable, and fitting for a man who found his passion and purpose helping countless others find a new way of life for the past 30 years.
A Memorial service will be held at Crossroads, Charles' primary meeting place, where food and refreshments will be served. Charles did not have insurance or any savings. Any help you can provide will be used to cover the costs of cremation service, air travel and one night's stay for his sister to travel from New Jersey to participate in her brother's memorial, and a permanent memorial tree and placard in the Crossroads Garden behind the building.
Let's come together and show our love one last time to honor our Brother Charles and celebrate what will be his enduring legacy. Your support will help his family and friends give him the tribute he deserves and ensure his memory lives on in the community he loved so much.
