It is with profound sadness that we share that on Friday, 12/12/25, Chad Roper was involved in a tragic accident on his way home from a run to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Chad passed away at the scene. This is a heartbreaking loss for his wife, Angie Roper, with whom he was getting ready to celebrate his 20th wedding anniversary.

Chad worked with Saia LTL Freight for many years, starting in 2008 in Kent, Washington, before transferring to Phoenix, Arizona. During his time with Saia, he worked as a Line Driver, Pickup and Delivery Driver, and even Driver Trainer. Chad made a great impact on everyone he worked with and trained and is remembered for his friendly demeanor and energy.
