Cecilia was a rare soul, the kind of person whose love wrapped around you like home. To our family, she wasn’t just an aunt; she was a second mother, a protector, and a source of comfort throughout our entire lives. She loved us as if we were her own children, and that kind of love is something you never forget.

Cecilia had the biggest, warmest heart. She cared for everyone: family, friends, neighbors, and even children who weren’t biologically hers but who she embraced as if they were. She cooked for others, babysat, supported families, and always stepped in when someone needed help. Her kindness wasn’t something she turned on and off. It was who she was every single day.

More than 30 years ago, Cecilia made a sacrifice that changed our lives forever. She traveled all the way from Ghana to care for my cousins and me, giving us the love, guidance, and protection we needed. Her presence shaped our childhoods and our hearts. We truly wouldn’t be who we are today without her.

Cecilia was the kind of woman whose love stretched across generations. She gave without hesitation, loved without limits, and carried every one of us in her heart. Losing her is more than a loss. It is a heartbreak that our family will feel for a very long time.

After a short yet incredibly difficult battle with cancer and a long hospital stay, Cecilia passed away on December 4th at 12:12 AM. Even in her final moments, she showed strength, grace, and the same quiet bravery she carried throughout her life. She fought so hard.

Our family is devastated, but we want to honor her the way she deserved; with dignity, love, and the same gentleness she poured into all of us. We are raising funds to give Cecilia the beautiful farewell she earned through a lifetime of giving to others. This was unexpected, and the expenses are overwhelming.
