It’s Cheng and Ghin writing as Cayle Tern 's sisters-in-law, while our sister May, her children, and all extended family are navigating this challenging time with his sudden loss on May 7, 2026.

Because of the wishes from many of you for a place to send contributions, we had set up a couple P2P donation channels recently (see below). Since then, we have received feedback about the ease and familiarity of using a GoFundMe. (For those who may not know, this platform takes a fee, so you may prefer to use on of the fee-free options below.)

You may notice our goal says $99 dollars; it’s to align with culture and auspicious luck. Cayle’s legacy is so much a part of his identity and pride of being Iu Mien, and we want to honor it every way possible.

Cayle was never a person who asked for much of anything. Please know that your prayers, words of comfort, and fond memories are truly more than enough, but we also acknowledge those who wish to give through different platforms or ways. Our gratitude for your ongoing support is more than we could ever express. Thank you for honoring Cayle’s legacy.
