Casaundra Cruz was a longtime friend whose kindness and love for animals touched everyone she met. She passed away unexpectedly from diabetic medical complications, leaving behind several beloved pets who were her constant companions. Casaundra dedicated much of her life to helping others discover the joy of fostering and caring for animals, and her legacy lives on in the many lives she changed through her compassion and generosity.

In the wake of her passing, we want to honor Casaundra’s memory by ensuring her pets are cared for and by bringing together friends and family for a Celebration of Life. The funds raised will go directly toward expenses for the celebration, supporting her pets, and covering any related costs that arise as we navigate this difficult time. Casaundra loved potlucks, hosting parties, and especially gatherings that included dogs—her spirit of warmth and community will be at the heart of our celebration.
