We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Carrie. As a reviewer, she was exceptional - brilliant in her ability to grasp what was needed for any given document, and in finding solutions for any given review challenge faced by her fellow colleagues. But the even greater impact from Carrie was her beautiful way of connecting with people. She was incredibly charming from the beginning of any interaction, with a presence that was understated yet impactful. And she always had the next punchline with her quick wit and priceless sarcastic humor! For those who were lucky enough to spend in-person time with her at RTP functions, they witnessed her artistic and confectionary skills on par with a professional baker - from delicate Madeleine cookies to decadent Peppermint Chocolate cake.
