Honoring Carol’s Memory

I’m heartbroken to share that my dear friends, Joey and Marisa, recently lost their mother, Carol. I’ve known Joey for over 25 years and Marisa for nearly 17, and in that time, they’ve become like family to me. I’ve also had the privilege of knowing Carol and she was woman whose kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit left a mark on everyone who knew her.

Carol was the kind of person who made you feel seen and cared for the moment you walked in the room. She had a quiet strength about her — the kind that held her family together through life’s hardest moments. I saw firsthand how deeply she loved her children, and how much Joey and Marisa loved and cared for her in return. Their bond is something truly special.

Now, as they face the heartbreaking loss of their mother, I wanted to do something to help lighten their load. This GoFundMe is being set up to help Joey and Marisa with funeral expenses and arrangements as they say goodbye to Carol and celebrate her life.
