Carmen “Macaji” Chavez was a person who brought joy and laughter to every room she entered. She was known for her protective nature, always looking out for those she cared about, and her dedication to her family was unmatched. Carmen worked hard throughout her life and made sure her loved ones felt supported and cherished. One of the things I’ll always remember is how we would pick on each other, sharing jokes and playful moments that made even the toughest days a little brighter. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone she met, and she was always ready to stand up for the people she loved.

After eight months of medical procedures and ongoing health challenges, Carmen’s battle came to an end. She fought bravely until the very last moment, showing the same strength and resilience that defined her life. Our family is now facing the difficult task of saying goodbye and honoring her memory in a way that reflects the love she gave so freely.
