Hey everyone,

As you know, my name is Erick, and it is with a broken heart that I create this GoFundMe on behalf of my amazing mother, Carmen. She was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer in March and had been courageously battling this terrible disease. Unfortunately, on August 24th, her battle ended, leaving behind a husband, six children, and friends and family who loved her deeply.

We are hopeful she is now with God and has been reunited with her daughter Liz, whom we lost in 2019.

We are asking for your help to cover:

Funeral and burial expenses

Support for her younger children

My mother poured so much love, faith, and strength into everyone around her. She was the heart of our family, a loving mother, a devoted wife, and one of the most compassionate, giving, and kindhearted people you could ever meet. She was always the one to lift others up, including myself, in moments of need. She loved and lived for her kids more than anything. Whether it was a quiet evening at home, cheering us on during our activities, or just sitting around laughing together, she cherished every moment. Anyone who speaks of her talks about the strong woman she was and how she would overcome any difficult situation. Even while facing the toughest battle of her life, her spirit remained unbroken.

Navigating this unexpected journey has been physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming. Any support you can offer, whether it's a financial donation, sharing this campaign, or simply keeping my family in your prayers, would mean the world to us. Every contribution will go directly toward her funeral expenses and helping to ease the financial burden on our family. I am a strong believer that no donation is too small, and every bit makes a difference.

As many close friends know, I have not been able to be there in person due to my immigration status. Being so far away, I want to do my part by bringing our community together, the people with whom we share so many cherished memories. I strongly believe we can rally around her now.
