Honoring Carlos's Heroic Sacrifice

On Saturday, February 22, 2025, a devastating fire broke out at my mom's house, a three-family residence on Fenwick Street in Hartford, where my stepdad Carlos Maldonado lived on the third floor and my mom on the first. Despite the challenges, I'm inspired by the bravery of the family, especially the stepdad, who tragically lost his life while saving his grandson, who was sleeping on the third floor. The grandfather relied on an oxygen tank to breathe; his selfless act allowed his grandson to evacuate the house safely. The family has suffered a tremendous loss, including the loss of life and total loss of belongings. Can you please pray for all of them, especially my mom, who has adopted four grandchildren and is navigating this immense challenge. The kids are still attending elementary, middle, and high school, and your prayers and donations will be a beacon of hope and comfort during this dark time. Please pray for them.
