Honoring Carlos Chavez: A Gentle Soul
Donation protected
Greetings All,
It is with a heavy, broken heart to inform you that my beloved brother-in-law, Carlos Chavez, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 8th. If you knew Carlos, you know he loved helping anyone at any time. He was such a gentle soul who is greatly missed. He was a great disc golfer who loved to camp amongst other friends. Carlos was not one to ask for help; he was always the one helping. Any funds are greatly appreciated that will be used to make the necessary funeral arrangements and associated costs. Please do not feel obligated. Above all, your prayers to his family, friends, and two boys, Keanu and Diego, are greatly appreciated.
Those who knew Carlos know that he had an auto shop in Yuba City and was a master on anything Honda and Toyota. He later moved to Chico and really... really got into disc golf. He'd send us pics of all the areas he'd go set up camp and go on his hikes and see the sunsets. My wife, Susie, would call her best friend every day... every day. How's it going, where are you, enjoy your day.
Carlos last days were doing what he loved and with the company he enjoyed being with in the great outdoors. He loved being outdoors... and viewing the sunsets. I heard he was 4 strokes up going into Saturday's tournament in Yucaipa, CA. He left us as a champ. We love and miss you.
