On March 5, 2026, our beloved Carla M. Gonzales passed away peacefully at the age of 60 at Kent Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island. Carla was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a compassionate advocate for others whose strength and kindness touched many lives.
Born in Oratórios, Minas Gerais, Brazil, Carla carried with her a deep sense of compassion and justice. She was actively involved in the labor movement in Brazil and was a passionate political and social activist, dedicating much of her life to advocating for workers’ rights and standing up for those whose voices were often unheard.
Above all else, Carla cherished being a mother to her two sons, Ryan and Aaron. Her family meant everything to her, and she welcomed everyone who became part of their lives with warmth, love, and generosity.
Carla is survived by her beloved husband, Reginald A. Gonzales; her two sons, Ryan A. Gonzales and Aaron J. Gonzales of Greenland, New Hampshire; and her siblings Nubia, Janaina, Rogerio, Edilson, Marcos, and Ze Geraldo Bento. She was predeceased by her sisters, Valeria Miranda and Vania Bento.
We are creating this fundraiser to help cover the unexpected memorial and funeral expenses during this incredibly difficult time. Any support—whether through a donation or simply sharing this page—means more than words can express and will help us honor Carla’s life and memory.
Visiting hours will be held on March 21, 2026, from 12:00–2:00 p.m. at Remick & Gendron Funeral Home in Hampton, New Hampshire, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
Carla’s strength, compassion, and dedication to helping others will never be forgotten. Thank you for helping us celebrate her life and keep her memory alive.
