Michael, known affectionately as "Pappy" by his family, dedicated his life to serving others. As the first paid fireman in the city of Allen, he built a legacy of bravery, commitment, and love for his work. Over the years, he rose to the rank of Captain, receiving high praise for his heroic efforts and unwavering dedication to the safety and well-being of others. Michael passed peacefully in his sleep on August 15th, leaving behind his devoted wife Peggy, and his children Chad, Rachael, Thad, and Tommy, along with many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. While he was a hero to the entire community, to his family, he was so much more—a loving and witty presence, someone who could always be counted on, whether in times of laughter or need.
