We are raising funds to cover the cost of Candle's cremation and some medical bills over the last few months leading up to Candle's transition.
An anonymous donor has agreed to match ALL of the funds raised to help pay for all the cremation costs and medical bills for Candle AND to host a dance celebration party with live music to honor Candle's life on Kauai. 100% of the funds will be used to support Candle and Cheeah during this transition. I will personally fly to Kauai to help Cheeah recover from Candle's homeward journey to the Light and to plan a dance celebration of life party for Candle. Food and drinks will be appreciated at the potluck celebration.
Candle was a dear friend and a role model for what I wanted to be like when I grow up. My journey with Candle started in Kauai where we bonded over kittens, espresso and spiritual wisdom. I felt a deep love for Candle and Cheeah and figuratively "adopted" them as my adopted parents. I even got them a place to live next door to me for years on Kauai so we could have philosophical talks over espresso and dancing. We shared many deeply spiritual and expanding experiences in love and life. Candle really was an amazing soul, extremely independent and capable of "true unconditional love". He was not into sappy conditional love at all. Candle was % pure and authentic. He wanted to inspire you and everyone to your true self and aspire to your greatness. He was a creative genius. He was a lover of Finnigans Wake, a book written by the famous author James Joyce, born on the same day as Candle. There are PHD studies on the work of James Joyce, who makes up words in poetry in his novels. Extremely difficult to read silently, nearly impossible aloud. Candle not only did this, but he spent 2+ years recording himself reading Finnigans Wake from start to finish. A river runs through it...
His love story with Cheeah is legendary and pure magic. What an amazing couple. They even spent 6 weeks with me in Switzerland, where Candle was able to visit and read aloud Finnigans Wake at the James Joyce society in Zurich and visit his gravesite. So grateful to share life with the amazingly brilliant Russell Fricano, known as Candle.
Candle was a film script writer in Hollywood before retiring on Kauai with Cheeah. Incredibly creative and brilliant and super funny. Love you eternally Candle ️️
