It is with unimaginable sadness that we share the sudden passing of our beloved Mother, Daughter, Auntie, and Friend, Candeena Marie Jackson (Wusla um’ptu), on 2/22/25. She is survived by her children who were her whole heart, Thunder (19) and Isaiah (28). Candeena was both mother and father, teaching them strength, kindness, and resilience.
No amount of money is going to make the loss of their momma any easier, but it will help with unexpected financial burdens and mental health issues they may have during this difficult time and thereafter. We want to ensure that their mother receives the proper service and burial she deserves. And they deserve all the love and support we can give. Thank you (Sepk’eec’a).
Candeena Jackson was an enrolled member of the Klamath tribe (Modoc) and was a descendant of the Tututni and Chetco tribes. Her greatest achievement other than her kids was her education. She graduated from Southern Oregon University with a bachelor's in criminal justice and a minor in Native American studies. She quickly made waves in her community as the Indian education facilitator. She was very active and loved hiking, running, swimming, and reconnecting with her traditions in her homeland.
