On Christmas Day, we said goodbye to Caleb McLain, a remarkable young man who passed away at just 26 years old after a brave two-year battle with osteosarcoma (bone cancer).

Caleb met every step of his journey with courage, resilience, and quiet strength. By his side through it all was his wife, my cousin Taylor McLain, whose love, devotion, and unwavering support never faltered. The two were married just over a year ago on October 26th, 2024, building a marriage rooted in hope, commitment, and deep love—even as they faced circumstances no young couple should ever have to endure.

Over the past two years, Caleb and Taylor poured everything they had—emotionally, physically, and financially—into his care and into holding onto each moment together. Their focus was never on themselves, but on love, time, and fighting forward with grace.

As Taylor now begins to navigate life after Caleb’s passing, she is also facing significant financial obligations related to funeral arrangements, a memorial service, and final expenses, after a long road of medical care.
