Robert “Buddy” Heffler was 64 and a native of Baltimore, MD, living in Surfside Beach, SC. He passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26th, 2025, following a long, albeit brave, battle against pharyngeal, laryngeal, and lung cancer.

Born in Akron, Ohio, he was the devoted son of the late Robert August Heffler and surviving mother, Mary Heffler. He was the loving brother of the late Michele Martinez, and surviving sisters Yvonne Martinez & brother-in-law Jesus Martinez, Sandra Titus & brother-in-law John Titus Sr. Buddy was also the proud uncle to 1 nephew and 6 nieces. He was very close to his cousins, aunts, uncles, and his extended family. He was particularly close to his cousin James “Jimmy” Butterworth & Lynn Mefford. There were many friends who were also a part of his journey over the years.

He is now at peace with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Both his medical needs and his departure have left his closest family members with financial challenges to properly celebrate his life and say “goodbye for now”.
