Honoring "Brotha" Tom West: Help Cover Final Expenses

Many of you know or have had the pleasure of meeting Brotha Tom West. He was known for his fierce loyalty, his enormous capacity for love, his skill to create beautiful art from anything, and his commitment to living life to its fullest. Tom was a man of faith and spirituality. He heavily believed in unconditional love and unity through music and dance. He saw the strength, the beauty and the power in everything around him. He was unapologetically raw and authentically true to himself. Tom loved the outdoors. Among his favorites were beach days and kayaking trips with family and friends. He also loved camping and attending music festivals. He spent a lifetime building a community and cherished every single relationship and friendship.

Unfortunately, our strong father, son, brother, boyfriend, and friend Tom passed away on April 21st in Muskegon, MI. He was surrounded by loved ones in a room filled with music, love, and laughter. This will come as a shock to many as Tom was known as a willful fighter that never gave up and put his whole heart into everything he did. We know his love touched many and his impact was vast and immeasurable.

We have started this GoFundMe to raise money for Tom’s final expenses. These funds will cover two major expenses and help the family through this very tough time. We are reaching out to his community to come together to help provide for his needs as he has done for so many. We will be hosting a celebration of life for everyone to come together to celebrate Brotha Tom. This event is a work in progress and will take some time to plan/execute in order to capture Tom’s essence.
