Honoring Bronwen’s Life & Supporting Her Family

It is with heavy hearts—and yet a deep hope rooted in Christ—that we share the passing of our dear friend, Bronwen.

After a courageous battle with cancer, Bronwen went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 1. She was a beautiful reflection of Jesus—full of faith, joy, gentleness, and a love that reached everyone she encountered. To know Bronwen was to feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.

But Bronwen’s story is also one of profound loss and incredible strength.

In late 2022, she lost her husband, Chuck, to cancer after a few weeks into his fight. He was her partner, her teammate, and her love. And now losing her battle to cancer in about a month of her fight.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Madi; her mother, Rachel; her brothers, BJ and Justin; and so many others who loved her dearly.

After losing Chuck, her daughter became even more the center of her world cherishing every trip, every memory and every story reflected the deep love and joy she had as a mother. And those who knew her could see it clearly—Madi was her heart.

And even in her final weeks, when her body was tired, her heart never stopped loving. She thought constantly about her daughter, her family, and the people she cared about—always putting others before herself.

That’s who Bronwen was.

She had a rare kind of heart—the kind that gives, serves, and loves without holding back. And then there was her joy—her fun, vibrant spirit that made her so uniquely her.

Bronwen faithfully and passionately led kids ministry in Park Rapids, and was a bright light in every room she entered—someone with infectious enthusiasm who deeply loved Jesus. She brought energy, creativity, and joy everywhere she went. She loved Jesus deeply, and it showed in the way she lived—especially in how she poured into children and families. Through her work in ministry, she impacted countless lives. Kids adored her. Volunteers were inspired by her. And everyone who served alongside her felt her passion and her kindness. She had a way of making everyone feel like they mattered.

Bronwen loved Disney. Not just casually—she lived it. Every chance she had, she made time for a Disney day. From themed outfits to the biggest smile you’ve ever seen, she embraced joy fully and unapologetically. That joy was contagious. That joy was Bronwen.

Now, while we rejoice knowing she is in the presence of her Savior, free from pain and fully whole, our hearts ache for the ones she leaves behind—especially her daughter, Madi.

No child should have to walk this road. We want to surround Bronwen’s family with love and support during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, as well as helping care for the needs of her family—especially Madi.

If you feel led to give, no amount is too small. Every gift is an expression of love. And if you are unable to give, we ask that you lift this family up in prayer—for peace, comfort, strength, and the deep assurance that God is near to the brokenhearted.

Bronwen’s life was a gift. Her love made a difference. And her legacy will live on in every life she touched. We will miss her deeply. But we hold onto this promise—we will see her again!

“Well done, good and faithful servant…” – Matthew 25:21
