JULY 1, 1955 – FEBRUARY 7, 2026
Brian Paul Pundt, 70, of Valencia, CA died after a brief and courageous battle with cancer on February 7, 2026.

He was born the youngest of five brothers in Buffalo, NY to Irving and Jane Pundt and moved with his family to Snowflake, AZ, eventually settling in Tucson, AZ. Brian was active in HS theatre before going to work as a broadcast technician then moving into his lifelong passion as a broadcast engineer for studio productions and sports; working on sitcoms, game shows, talk shows, minor league & professional sports as well as the 1984 Summer Olympics. Outside of work, he was a dedicated volunteer to the Hart HS Regiment Marching Band for 25 years.

Brian was preceded in death by his mother Jane (Hart), his father Irving, and brothers Stephen and Keith “Kip” Pundt, a sister-in-law, Debbie (Shaw) Pundt and a brother-in-law, Miguel “Mickey” Rodriguez.

Surviving him are his wife, Shirley (Stapleton) Pundt, two daughters, Jamie (Pundt) Otteson, Stephanie (Pundt) Bates, son-in-law Adam Bates and grandson, Cameron Otteson, brothers, Jeffrey Pundt and Gary (Mindy) Pundt, sisters-in-law Candy Pundt, Doris (Stapleton) Rodriguez plus his 22 nieces and nephews, their children, and his cousins.

The memorial service is Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Hart on Main, 24217 Main St., Newhall, CA at 1pm with a private ash spreading to follow at a later date. Limited parking is available across the street, otherwise please use the parking structure near Laemmle Newhall (approx. 5 min walk down Main St.)

Brian dedicated 19 years to our organization, leaving a lasting impact through his exceptional work ethic, and delivery to clients. He was admired by coworkers, freelancers, and clients alike and he will be greatly missed.
