On November 12, our brightest friend and sweetest companion, Brett Smith, lost his life. We are devastated and shocked at this loss, but even more so grieving the wonderful, full life he had. Brett was humorous, charming, witty, and almost as quick as he was wildly intellectual. To know Brett was to love him, and to feel his loss and absence will feel like the heaviest sorrow. Brett was an exceptional person, an unforgettable friend, and a loving partner to his long-term girlfriend. Hers and Brett’s loyalty and devotion to one another was always apparent to everyone, and they always filled each room with their love and shared charisma.
