Honoring Brett, A Man Who Gave Everything
My stepdad, Brett, has been fighting colon cancer since 2019. When he first found out, he fought hard and beat it. He went to the gym, pushed himself, and was cancer-free for over two years before the cancer came back. Even through chemotherapy, pain, and health complications, he never stopped fighting. Brett is the kind of person who would give his last just to make sure everyone around him was okay. He loved cooking for family and friends, fishing, traveling, and creating memories with the people he loved. Fishing was one of his biggest passions since he was young—he would go out on boats, come back with fish, and cook for everyone. He always made sure the people around him were taken care of and loved.
Today, we found out his cancer has spread to his kidney and liver, and we are now transitioning him into hospice care to keep him comfortable and surrounded by love. Our family is devastated and going through one of the hardest moments of our lives while also trying to prepare for funeral/cremation expenses and other unexpected costs during this heartbreaking time. Any donation, prayer, or share means more to us than we can explain. Thank you for the love and support for Brett and our family.
