Honoring Brandon Silva: Supporting His Son, Joaquin
Brandon Silva was a passionate and deeply talented chef whose creativity and dedication left a lasting mark on Houston’s culinary community. Beyond his career, he was most proud of being a loving father to his son, Joaquin. Brandon spoke often of Joaquin — his soccer games, their chess matches, and the joy of simply being his dad.
Brandon’s passing is an immeasurable loss for his family, friends, and all who were inspired by him in the kitchen and beyond. As we grieve his absence, the greatest way we can honor his memory is by helping support the future of the person he cherished most: Joaquin.
This fund has been created to ensure Joaquin is cared for in both the present and the future. Contributions will go toward:
• Day-to-day essentials such as meals, clothing, and school supplies
• Soccer league tuition and extracurricular activities
• Chess tournaments and enrichment programs
• Summer camps
• Therapy and mental health support
• Education and long-term savings through a 529 plan and custodial account
• Other unexpected needs that may arise as Ana and Joaquin navigate life after this heartbreaking loss
