Bobby Hoskins Jr. was my brother, and he meant the world to me. Throughout his life, Bobby faced tremendous challenges, but he never stopped working hard to get back on track. All he ever wanted was peace. Despite being very sick and living without heat or running water, he kept fighting. I did everything I could to help him, but I just couldn’t get the funds fast enough to make a difference. It breaks my heart that I couldn’t do more for him. Bobby suffered from a grapefruit-sized hernia, pancreatitis, and hepatitis C, but he never let his illnesses define him.
Bobby was the most incredibly talented person I have ever met. He could create and build anything with his hands, and he had a big heart. His favorite movie was The Best of Me, and he loved cars, fixing things, and exploring nature. Bobby cherished his family and friends deeply—he had one son, four grandchildren, four nieces, and three nephews. He will always be remembered and celebrated for his kindness, creativity, and love for those around him. Bobby leaves behind our mother, two sisters, and cousins who will miss him and loved him dearly. I find comfort in knowing he’s at peace now, no longer in pain, and reunited with our grandparents, dad, and sissy. I will always love you, Bobby.
