Honoring the Life of Blanca Nelly Gutiérrez Nájera
This loss has completely shattered our hearts. My mother was vibrant, free-spirited, loving, and deeply loved by so many people. She had a beautiful way of making people laugh, feel welcomed, and reminding others to enjoy life. Her presence was unforgettable, and her absence leaves an unimaginable void in our family.
As her children, we are navigating not only the devastating emotional pain of losing our mother unexpectedly, but also the difficult reality of managing everything from the United States while much of this is happening in Mexico.
We are currently facing urgent expenses related to:
• Cremation and memorial arrangements in Mexico
• Obtaining official documents (death certificate, autopsy reports, legal paperwork)
• Travel expenses to Mexico
• Emergency immigration/advance parole filing fees so we can travel to handle our mother’s affairs
• Translation of legal documents
• Transporting her ashes back to the United States
• Managing her personal belongings and final arrangements
Because we live in the United States, this process has been incredibly overwhelming and complicated. We are trying our best to honor our mother with dignity while supporting our family during this heartbreaking time.
Many friends and family have reached out asking how they can help. Your support, whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing this fundraiser, means more than we can put into words.
Celebrating Blanca’s Life
My mother’s hiking community and dear friends from senderismo are graciously organizing a memorial Mass in her honor in Monterrey, Mexico.
While it deeply hurts that our family cannot be there in person due to immigration circumstances and travel limitations at this time, we are incredibly grateful that her life is being honored by people who loved her.
We invite anyone in Monterrey who would like to attend and celebrate Blanca’s life to join:
Wednesday, April 29th at 6:30 PM
Parroquia San Vicente de Paúl – La Fama
C. Virgilio C. Guerra #421
La Fama, 66100
Ciudad Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico
All are welcome to attend and honor her memory.
Once we are able to bring my mother home to the United States, our family plans to hold a memorial service here as well. We will share those details once arrangements are made.
Thank you for continuing to keep our family in your prayers and for helping us honor Blanca’s beautiful life.
Thank you for helping us honor our mother’s life and memory.
With love and gratitude,
The Pérez Family
