Honoring Billy: Help with Funeral Costs

Donation protected
Hello Everyone,

It is never easy writing these lines; however, it is necessary to help cover Billy's funeral expenses. Billy passed away after his stove exploded in the early morning hours of December 18, 2024. I've known him since I was 12, and our junior year, he joined us as an Orestimba Warrior. I believe he earned the Most Valuable Player award in soccer, and he was always the life of any party he attended. Billy loved his Dodgers and loved his Chargers. I remember Billy moved from Los Angeles to Newman, and talk about a cultural shift! He was a bit strange, but the kind of strange that made many good friends, and boy did he enjoy dancing cumbias! Billy lived in Reno, Nevada, for many years and worked in the Water Department researching water rights. Moses, Oscar, and I would visit (one time Oscar even came home with a black eye from some rowdy cats in Reno - WHAT!). He was Class of '89 all the way. "We never know when we're gonna go," he'd say, so he always tried to live life. Billy moved to Mexico and worked at a call center since 2016 in the border town of Tijuana. He also lived in Rosarito, Baja California, and at the time of his passing, he lived in the state of Veracruz in an apartment. All contributions will go toward Billy's funeral arrangements, and he is now reunited and I'm sure annoying his younger brother Louis Paz, who passed away a few short years ago. Billy suffered from a brain hemorrhage three years ago but managed to recover and continue working in the call centers. He was like a brother to me, and his wife's words yesterday were, "You were his best friend." I will miss his tips on football, his love for stats, where the Bolts need to improve, and overall, just having a good friend to hear me vent when life throws us curveballs. Life threw numerous curveballs at him, and he always managed to recover, until yesterday. May he rest in peace. You've come a long way, from joyriding B210s in LA, my knucklehead friend. Till we meet again buddy, at this moment the Bolts are on top 24-27 on TNF.
