After 47 years of marriage, my dad has lost the love of his life and best friend, my mom, his Bettie Sue. Their lives were deeply intertwined—built on decades of love, family, and shared memories—and her sudden passing has left an unimaginable hole in his heart. My dad was her caretaker. They were together 24/7 unless he was at work. They had a love not many will ever get to experience. My mom loved my dad more than anything in this entire world. I am so grateful for 39 years of watching what true love really is.

To know my mom was to love her. She was an incredible woman who loved fiercely and had the ability to make anyone she was around feel like they were the most important person in the world. She and my dad were inseparable. They spent their mornings with coffee and Good Morning America. She would sit on the back patio and watch him fish in the pond for hours. For the past few years he has been her caretaker. Since that started He has not been in his house without her there. Now he is having to go through the life they built together, box by box, decor, clothes etc. Seeing this heartbreak is one that nobody should have to experience. He lost his person.

In addition to the overwhelming grief, my dad is now facing significant medical bills and related expenses connected to my mom’s passing These costs, combined with the funeral home expenses, have created a heavy financial burden at a time when he should be allowed to focus on healing and grieving.

My dad is a proud, hardworking man who has always put his family first. Asking for help does not come easily to him, but this season has made it clear that he cannot do this alone.

My siblings and I are raising funds to help cover:
