Honoring Betsy Swanson: Funeral Fund

Hello everyone, my name is Brooke Swanson, the daughter of Betsy Swanson. As a lot of people know, my mom had stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, also known as terminal. My mom was a strong fighter and fought this cancer for 13 years. My mom was a light to so many people, especially us kids. She loved me and my brother so much and put us first before even thinking about herself. She was my best friend and my mom all in one. We all already miss her so much.

This medicine she has been on for the past month or so ended up not working, and these bad side effects she had, we thought were from the medicine (as we were told), but it turns out these side effects were actually from the cancer spreading more to her stomach, and we never knew this until her PET scan this past week. The doctors only gave her maybe weeks left to live, but sadly she only had days. She sadly passed away this Friday morning and is no longer suffering.

This GoFundMe will cover her funeral/celebration of life service and will help our family out a lot. She is at peace now. We are still in the works with coming up with a service date but it will be announced shortly. Thank you all.
