First, we want to begin by expressing how overwhelmed and grateful we are for the outpouring of love and support we've received through all the messages and comments for my mother in law, Bertha. As a family, we gave careful thought to whether to set up a GoFundMe account. Given the number of people who have asked how they can contribute, we have decided to create one.

This will provide an opportunity for those of you who wish to show how much she meant to you during these long seven weeks. Your kindness has reminded us that there are still good people with generous hearts in this challenging world.

We also know there are a lot of bad actors out there who take advantage of people in vulnerable times. Please be aware that there will only be ONE account, and the GoFundMe created by myself, Robert Chacon is the ONLY official account for her.

Please, do not feel obligated to donate—your support, love, and community have already exceeded our expectations. This is simply for those who have asked and would like to help with her Celebration of Life.
