Dear Family, Friends, and beloved community members,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Bennie Evans Jr. (aka Putney), on March 16th, 2025. He was the beloved husband to Joy Jackson-Evans, a devoted father, uncle, brother, loving son, and friend to many. Bennie Evans Jr. was a good man who always extended a helping hand to anyone in the community. His kindness, generosity, and warm spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bennie Evans Jr. leaves behind his mother, Elizabeth Anderson, and his late father, Bennie Evans Sr., wife Joy Jackson-Evans, 2 brothers and 4 sisters, and his favorite cousin Milton, 9 children, and 12 grandchildren, who are now facing the difficult task of laying him to rest.

As we navigate this heartbreaking time, we are raising funds to cover the costs of his funeral and memorial services. All funeral-related expenses, including burial/cremation and any additonally costs that arise, will be covered. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference in honoring Bennie’s life and supporting the family during this difficult time.
